  1. What bike(s) do you currently own?
  2. Gary Fisher Superfly 100
    Redline Monocog
  3. What size of wheels do you prefer 26, 29, or both? Why?
  4. Still on the big wheels! Although I have changed over to the world of full suspension. One thing remains the same, those big wheels Roll over anything!
  5. You’re favorite trail and its location?
  6. I just like trails. Go ride ‘em. All of them, anywhere.
  7. How many years have you been riding? And how many years racing?
  8. 6 years of bike pedaling/racing.
  9. What type of racing is your specialty? (XC, Endurance, CX, Road, ect). Why?
  10. I don’t know about specialty. But, this year the plan is to go long on the singletrack!
  11. Do you have any pre-race rituals or preferred meals?
  12. Well, it should be checking over my bike and tools, but since I can’t seem to manage that I tend to just chat it up with the other racers. I’m not picky on what I eat, it always seems to be a PB & honey sandwich, but that’s just because I’m poor.
  13. During a race what Energy and Fluid Replacement products do you use?
  14. I rely heavily on GU products to deliver me to the finish and they haven’t disappointed yet!
  15. You’re favorite movie?
  16. All the ones with bikes in them.
  17. You’re favorite foods?
  18. BBQ. In fact, I’m getting kinda hungry for some right now!
  19. Why should someone take up cycling as a new hobby?
The most obvious reason is for your health, both physical and mental. Biking of any kind gives you a good workout and is the best stress buster I have ever found. Nothing clears my head like going for a ride out in the hills. Plus, even in a town as small as Emporia you will meet all kinds of people that ride and make plenty of new friends. And finally, to explore this beautiful world we live in. Don’t tell me you’ve driven all over, because that just isn’t the same. Go somewhere by bike that you’ve been a hundred times in a car and you will see a thousand things you never saw before.
